The Barrington High School boys hockey team skated to a pair of victories last weekend, defeating Portsmouth High School 5-1 and South Kingstown 8-2.

In Thursday night's game, Barrington defeated Portsmouth. In the first period, Barrington scored four goals. The first was on a power-play, scored by Luke Rudman with an assist from Matthew Spears. Jonny Fay and Dominic Robidoux then scored, and Luke Rudman had his second goal of the night later in the period. Dominic Robidoux, Matt Spears and Jake Andreozzi each notched assists.

No goals were scored in the second, and both teams scored in the third. After Portsmouth scored, Rudman ending the game with a hat trick, scoring the last goal off an assist by Josh Roy. Goalie Steven Amaral made 20 saves.

Barrington crushed South Kingstown 8-2 in Saturday night's game. Three goals were scored in the first period — the first goal was an unassisted goal from Dominic Robidoux. South Kingstown knotted the score at 1-1, and then Josh Roy scored with assists from Nick Bernardo and Matt Bates. Luke Rudman scored two goals in the second period, the second was on a power-play, and the assists came from Drew Sirmalis, Owen Gordon and Matt Bates. 

South Kingstown scored in the beginning of the third period but Barrington came back and scored four more goals. Dominic Robidoux scored with assists from Matt Spears and Sirmalis; Rudman scored an unassisted goal; Matt Spears scored a power play goal assisted by Robidoux and Sirmalis; and the final goal was a short-handed goal from Rudman, assisted by Robidoux.
