A 15-year-old Barrington High School student reportedly scrawled "KKK was here" on a dry erase board at the school on Tuesday, Nov. 10, upsetting some of her fellow students.

Barrington police said a teacher at the school contacted the administration after learning that the female student had written the message on the board while other students were present.

"The other students said they were offended" by the statement, said police.

School officials will discipline the student; there are no charges by the police.
