Annika Kelly, of Barrington, won the discus throw and hammer throw at the Estonia U18 National Championships in Rakvere, Estonia recently.

Her top throw in the discus measured 116 feet, 11 inches, and her best throw in the 3 kilogram hammer measured 205 feet, 3 inches. Annika set a new U18 Estonian record in the hammer throw.

The Barrington teenager is scheduled to next compete at the European Athletics U18 Championships in Gyor, Hungary.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986.
