Barrington home sales for November more than doubled over the previous year, according to information provided by The Warren Group.

November 2014 yielded nine home sales in Barrington, but in November 2015, Barrington saw 26 single-family home sales. Year-to-date, Barrington had 251 home sales (through the end of November), while 2014 saw 199 for the same period of time.

"Single-family home sales grew 25.1 percent in November, with 707 homes sold across Rhode Island," stated a release from The Warren Group, an organization that has recorded and tracked real estate transactions since 1872.

Statewide, the median sales price grew by about 2.6 percent, but Barrington recognized a drop in the median sales price. In November 2014, the median sales price was $535,000, but in November 2015, that figure dropped to $396,000. Year-to-date, the sales price is about the same as it was in 2014 — $400,000.

Seven-figure sale

Residential Properties Ltd. recently completed the sale of 13 Stone Tower Lane in Barrington for $1.342 million, representing both the buyer and the seller. The listing agent, Patty Deal, is a member of Residential's Barrington office.
