Barrington police received multiple calls for a loud party on North Lane at about 10 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 21.
Officers responded and discovered a number of cars parked in the cul de sac, and saw many teenagers running away from the home. Police then began receiving calls from nearby residents who said teenagers were running through their yards and hiding on their property.
Police eventually charged two 16-year-old Barrington boys with underage possession or consumption of alcohol-consumption. EMTs also transported two teenagers to the hospital — both teens appeared to be heavily intoxicated.
Police said the people who owned the home where the party took place were away and were not aware of the party.
Police seized a bottle of lemonade vodka, a 30-pack of light beer, and multiple packages containing alcoholic seltzers.
Police officers stayed on the scene for more than two hours following the incident to minimize any unintended consequences of teenagers fleeing the party.
