On Tuesday, Oct. 20, Barrington police charged a 17-year-old Barrington boy with "minor electronically disseminating indecent material to another person," after the teen allegedly posted a short obscene video clip of a Barrington teenage girl.
Police said the two teenagers are friends and the video was taken and posted to the web with the consent of the girl.
The girl in the video reportedly spoke with police and said she did not know anyone was going to get in trouble because of the video clip. The video, which did not show the girl's face, was posted on the Internet.
Police said the Barrington boy will appear before the local juvenile hearing board on the misdemeanor charge.
