The Barrington Police Department wants residents to know that they might hear gunshots this week, but not to worry, it's likely officers doing some training.

Barrington Police Chief John LaCross said the department will be conducting its low-light shooting qualifications this week at the pistol range at Nockum Hill. The shooting will take place between 4 and 6 p.m.

At times, the sound of gunshots can be heard across Hundred Acre Cove to nearby neighborhoods. For more information, call the department at 401-437-3930.
