Eagles top Oakers 3-2; Game Two is tonight

The Barrington High School boys' hockey team won the first game in a best-of-three playoff series against Coventry, topping the Oakers 3-2 on Friday night, March 11.

Michael Grieve netted the go-ahead goal for Barrington with 3:12 left to play in the third period.

Dominic Robidoux opened the scoring for the Eagles in the first period. Stephan Paras and Josh Roy assisted on the goal.

Coventry tied it up with a power-play goal at the start of the second period, but Barrington pushed ahead again later in the period when Timothy Hall scored off an assist from Grieve.

The Oakers tied the game at 4:15 in the third, but Grieve scored the game-winner off an assist from Hall at 11:48.

The two teams are slated to play in the second game of the series tonight, Saturday, March 12, at 7 p.m. in West Warwick.
