The Barrington High School softball team beat South Kingstown 5-3 in the Division II playoffs on Wednesday afternoon. Maddie Cox led the team with three hits and scored along with teammate Rachel Cross in the bottom of the sixth inning to break a 3-3 tie. Barrington pitcher Paige Concannon struck out nine in a complete game four-hitter.
The Eagles will play Johnston in the D-II quarterfinals on Saturday at RIC at 4 p.m.
