A Barrington Middle School student said he had nothing to do with an inappropriate comment recently posted to a Barrington teacher's Facebook page.
The student's father contacted Barrington police on Wednesday, May 27 and told an officer that someone else had used his son's name to create a fake Facebook account and then post an inappropriate comment to a local teacher's Facebook page.
The man said his son did not have a Facebook page, but believed some of his son's classmates may have been responsible. He said he believed the other students wrote the post in an effort to get his son in trouble.
Police, who said the comment was sexually explicit, did not plan to file charges against anyone. The department reportedly plans to allow school officials to investigate the situation further.
