The Barrington Youth Basketball Association teams wrapped up their seasons recently.
All eleven Barrington teams competed in the MetroWest League Tournament, with five teams advancing past the first round.
The Fifth Grade Boys Gold Team, the Sixth Grade Boys, and the Eighth Grade Boys all advanced to the second round of the playoffs in their divisions.
The Fourth Grade Girls Team had a successful season (7-4 record) and a strong playoff run. The Barrington girls defeated Dover/Sherborn, Medfield, and North Quincy to reach the Division 4 Championship game where they lost a heartbreaker to Needham 19-17.
The Seventh Grade Boys Gold Team had a first round bye, and then beat Bellingham 45-30 to advance to the quarterfinals in their division where they were knocked out by Taunton.
The Fifth Grade Boys Blue team had a first round league playoff exit but still qualified for the Mass State Tournament elite division. The local team upset the MetroWest #4 seed Brockton and #3 seed Raynham before losing in the quarterfinals to the #2 seed and eventual runner-up Newton.
