The boys' tennis team defeated Smithfield in a second round match at Slater Park in Pawtucket, while the boys' lacrosse team knocked off Bishop Hendricken in a game at Barrington's Victory Field.

Barrington tennis team advances to state finals

The boys' tennis team defeated Smithfield in a second round match at Slater Park in Pawtucket, while the boys' lacrosse team knocked off Bishop Hendricken in a game at Barrington's Victory Field. Jason Scanlon, Julian Tien and Shaye Anis picked up three key points in singles matches for the tennis team. Scanlon won 6-0, 6-4 over Sam Miller in the number one match, while Tien defeated Adam Courtemanche, 6-1, 6-2. Anis also won in straight sets, defeating Luke Alexander, 6-2, 7-5. Barrington's top doubles team scored a victory and secured the 4-2 win over the Sentinels. With the win, Barrington advances to the Division One finals and will play against top-ranked South Kingstown. The match is set for Saturday, May 23, at 2 p.m. at Slater Park.
