A handful of Barrington throwers performed well in recent track meets.
Sydney Polando finished first in the girls 15-16 division, 4-kilo hammer event at the USATF Region 1 meet at Fitchburg State University in Fitchburg, Mass. Sydney had a top throw of 141 feet, 6 inches.
Her sister, Faith Polando, finished first in the girls 17-18 division, 4-kilo hammer event. Faith had a top throw of 159 feet, 5 inches.
Barrington's Jack Dunn competed in the boys 17-18 division, 12-pound hammer throw, finishing fifth with a distance of 165 feet, 4 inches.
Barrington's Annika Kelly competed in the 3-kilo hammer in the Estonia National Under 18 Championships in Rakvere Stadium, Estonia. Annika finished second overall with a top throw of 185 feet, 10 inches.
