Barrington's Tough Tiger adventure race set for May 7
Hampden Meadows School uses race as a key fund-raiser
The Hampden Meadows School Tough Tiger adventure race will be held on Sunday, May 7, with the first wave of racers starting at 12:30 p.m.
This year's event will feature a new course and new "American Ninja" style obstacles.
The race starts at the school on New Meadow Road and will follow a course that runs along Robbins Drive, Knapton Street, Westwood Lane, across New Meadow Road, onto Old Chimney Road and through a path to Sowams School.
Racers will encounter a series of obstacles at the school and then return through the Hampden Meadows Greenbelt trail to Hampden Meadows School, where more obstacles await. All obstacles are geared for young families.
There will also be themed class basket raffles. All proceeds from the event benefit the school's PTO.
