Beach Polo returns to Second Beach this weekend

Newport Polo will partner with the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center for the return of beach polo as part of the Newport Winter Festival. Over 1,000 spectators are expected. Arrive early to meet the players and horses before the match.

WHAT: Beach polo

WHEN: Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 25 and 26, 3 p.m., weather permitting.

WHERE: Sachuest Beach (locally known as 2nd Beach), 315 Sachuest Point Road, Middletown

COST: Bring donations of non-perishable dry-goods, toiletries or household items for the community center. Drop them at the Beach Pavilion. Go to https://mlkccenter.org/current-needs/ for a list of the current needs.
