Beast of the East: URI women take third place in D-I
PORTSMOUTH—The URI women’s rugby team lost in the cup semifinals to Vassar 24-5 on Sunday during the Beast of the East tournament at Glen Farm on Sunday. The playoff lost earned the Lady Rams a third place finish in D-I.
On Saturday the Lady Rams lost their first game to UConn 14-12 and then rebounded to beat Boston College 22-0 to earn their playoff birth.
