The Barrington High School boys' tennis team opened its season with a 5-2 win over LaSalle Academy on Monday, April 3.
The Eagles picked up three doubles wins. Dennis Wei and Connor Kelly won at first doubles, 6-1, 6-0, and Brian Donahue and Sam Jurgeleit won 6-2, 6-2 at second doubles. Emilio Cuebas and Kevin Zue grabbed a win at third doubles, 7-5, 7-5.
In singles matches, Barrington's Owen Voigt won his match at second singles, 6-2, 6-0 and Story Salit won his match at third singles, 6-3, 6-0.
Boys' volleyball
Barrington opened its season with a 3-1 win over Scituate High School on Monday. The Eagles dropped the first game 20-25, but bounced back to win the next three in a row, 27-25, 26-24 and 25-20. Tim Parrillo tallied 10 blocks while Foster Egan notched six kills and five aces.
