Boys swimming — Barrington defeated North Kingstown 71-21 in its first meet on Friday, Dec. 14. The Eagles had a number of strong performances. David McMillan and Kellan Lane each won a pair of events — McMillan won the 200 free and the 500 free, while Lane won the 200 IM and the 100 backstroke. Sam Chavez won the 100 butterfly, Matt Bloom won the 100 breaststroke, Gabe Arriagada won the 100 free and Luke Gorham won the 50 free. 

Also, the 200 free relay team of Chaves, Colby Snow, Chris Silveria and Will Sanchez won first place.

Girls swimming — The Eagles won a close meet, defeating North Kingstown 48-46 on Dec. 14. Amy Zhao won a pair of events for the Eagles, capturing the fastest time in the 200 free and the 100 butterfly. Garin Stone won the 100 backstroke. The Eagles' 200 medley relay team on Rachel Baker, Melanie Baker, Stone and Julia Zulker also won. 

Boys ice hockey — The Eagles have opened up their season with a record of 0-2-1. Barrington lost its opener, 6-1, to Bishop Hendricken and fell to Burrillville 4-1 on Saturday, Dec. 15. On Sunday, the Eagles skated to a 5-5 tie against the Moses Brown/East Providence/Tolman Co-op team. 

Barrington is scheduled to play at Mt. St. Charles on Saturday, Dec. 22, at 7:30 p.m.
