Bristol arrests: Domestic assault, drug bust, assault on cops

Duarte A. Ferreira, 63, of 282 State St., second floor, was charged with possession of narcotics at the Bristol Police headquarters on Metacom Avenue on May 9.
A juvenile student was arrested at Mt. Hope High School at 11:30 a.m. May 10 after allegedly starting a small fire in the boys bathroom. The fire was quickly extinguished, and the 17-year-old was charged with disorderly conduct and vandalism.
Nicholas R. Walsh, 25, of 33 Byfield St., Apt. 1S, Bristol, was charged with driving with a suspended license after being pulled over at Ferry Road and Columban Drive just after midnight on May 11. He was also arrested on a 2nd District Court bench warrant.
Antonio Furtado, 28, of Metacom Ave., Bristol, was charged with domestic assault and domestic disorderly conduct after police were called to a family disturbance around 6:30 p.m. May 11.
Christopher Matthew Quinn, 31, of 138 Market St., Apt. 1, Warren, was charged on May 12 with violating a no contact order.
Joseph P. Carvalho, 43, of 426 Metacom Ave., Apt. 2, Bristol, was arrested on a 6th District Court bench warrant on May 12 for failure to appear in court.
Michael A. Rodriguez, 26, of 14 Dora St., Providence, was charged with possession of narcotics with intent to deliver, two counts felony assault with a dangerous weapon, two counts of failing to stop after an accident, eluding police, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. He allegedly tried to run down officers with his car while trying to escape arrest on Wood Street just before 5 p.m. May 12.
Luis Francisco, 20, of 41 Jenkins St., Providence, was charged with controlled substance conspiracy, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. He was in the car with Rodriguez when police allegedly witnessed a cocaine sale.
Jonathan Coimbra, 20, of 225 Market St., Apt. 1, Warren, was charged on May 14 with violating a no-contact order.
