Bristol arrests: Strangulation, public fighting and more

The Bristol Police Department made the following arrests last week:

Jonathan J. McGinn, 21, of an unknown Warren address, was arrested on a bench warrant for failure to appear for an arraignment on a suspended license charge on May 6. He was taken into custody at Police headquarters on Metacom Avenue on May 23.

Jennifer R. Cygawnoski, 36, of 426 Metacom Ave., second floor, Bristol, was arrested May 24 on a 6th District Court bench warrant for failure to appear in court last Oct. 27 on a misdemeanor larceny charge.

Jason C. Haas, 41, of 72 Teed Ave., Barrington, was charged with a hit and run just after 7 a.m. May 25.

Bihari V. Goli, 25, of 68 Legion Drive, Pawtucket, was charged with drag racing, reckless driving and eluding police in a high speed chase on May 26.

Marques D’Cortez, 20, of 44 Brow St., Fall River, was charged with disorderly conduct, and Ashlyn Vasquez, 20, of 420 Douglas Ave., Providence, was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after police were called to Veterans Park on Wood Street at 7 a.m. May 27 for reports of two people fighting.

Michael W. Harper, 57, of 210 Wood St., Bristol, was charged with disorderly conduct May 27 after neighbors called to complain of him allegedly yelling and screaming in the street outside his home.

Valdemiro Loras, 31, of Elizabeth Street, was charged with domestic assault by strangulation and domestic disorderly conduct after police were called to the home for a disturbance around 7:30 a.m. May 28.

Keith A. Barrieault, 40, of no known address, was arrested on five Superior Court warrants for a variety of charges, including domestic assault, vandalism, disorderly conduct and failure to appear in court. He was taken into custody at Wood Street and Bay View Avenue just before 11 a.m. May 29.
