The fourth-graders at Guiteras Elementary School in Bristol got together to help make Jacob Thompson’s early Christmas a little brighter. Jacob is a terminally ill 9-year-old boy from Saco, Maine, who asked for Christmas cards so he could celebrate his last Christmas early.

The fourth-graders at Guiteras responded to help this little boy celebrate. The cards were sent Tuesday, and they received confirmation that they were delivered to Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine, at 8:58 Wednesday morning. Shown here are the three fourth-grade classes at Guiteras — Mrs. McCanna’s class, Miss Gerrier’s class, and Mrs. Cronan’s class.
