The Bristol Volunteer Fire Department will be observing its 63rd Firemen’s Memorial Sunday on June 10, with a parade and memorial service to honor departed members and their families.

A Memorial Mass is held at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church on Wood Street. The Mystic Highland Pipe Band performs “Amazing Grace” during the service.

A Memorial Parade begins at 1 p.m. at the Dreadnaught Fire Station at Church and High streets and proceeds north to Franklin Street, west to Hope Street, south to Church Street, and then west to Firefighters Park at the bottom of Church Street.

Memorial services at the park begin at 1:45 p.m., featuring local clergy, state and local officials, and a ceremony remembering recently deceased members of the town’s fire companies. The public is welcome at all events.
