Bristol Police: Arrests for fighting and domestic assault

Following are arrests and incidents from the Bristol Police log from April 1 to 7. Officers made several arrests, charging people with domestic assacult, simple assault, disorderly conduct, and underage possession of alcohol.

Monday, April 1

George Toste, 49, of 15 Massasoit Ave., Apt. 15, was charged with domestic assault. He appeared before a bail commissioner and was released from the station.

A caller reported a group of teenage boys and girls acting suspiciously in the backyard of a Washington Street residence at 6:30 p.m. A responding patrolman found them playing with Nerf guns.

Tuesday, April 2

A Garfield Avenue resident reported money taken from his wallet at 2:33 a.m.

A caller reported hearing an altercation inside a Thompson Avenue residence at 10:38 a.m. There were no arrests.

An officer warned the driver of a pickup truck who had been riding around with juveniles in the bed of the truck at around 4:20 p.m.

Everett E. James, 18, of Warren, was charged with reckless driving-eluding a police officer in pursuit, and driving without a license.

A Sherry Avenue caller reported finding empty beer bottles in his yard on multiple occasions.

Wednesday, April 3

A Thompson Avenue resident came to the station to report a past domestic disturbance.

A woman called police after a man came to her Bourne Street residence to take possession of a vehicle. She claimed they were not delinquent in payments and the vehicle should not be taken. The woman’s husband was reached and clarified that he had made arrangements to have the vehicle removed and he had forgotten to tell his wife.

An officer issued a violation tag on a potentially abandoned vehicle with flat tires on Catherine Street.

A Sousa Street resident complained of loud music at 11:30 p.m. A responding officer heard no music and saw no pedestrians in the area.

Thursday, April 4

Kristin L. Pereira, 29, of 578 Wood St., Apt. 2, was taken into custody at her home at 9:47 a.m. on a warrant from District Court. She was processed at the station and transported to Sixth District Court in Providence.

At 5:39 p.m., officers arrested David A. Pacheco, 27, of 254 Wood St., Apt. 1, Bristol, and took him to the station. He was charged with three counts of domestic simple assault. He appeared before a bail commissioner at the station and was then transported to the ACI.

A Narrows Road caller reported vandalism to their vehicle at 7:48 p.m.

A West Street caller complained of loud music at 8:38 p.m. It stopped prior to an officer’s arrival.

Friday, April 5

A caller complained about loud music coming from a white car near the corner of Bradford and High streets at 2:42 a.m. An officer said the person agreed to quiet down for the night.

Two juvenile students were arrested after a disturbance at Mt. Hope High School at 1:12 p.m. They were both brought to the station and charged with disorderly conduct; one was also charged with disturbance of a public assembly.

A Richmond Street resident complained about yard debris pushed into their yard at 4 p.m.

After conducting an ID check at Bristol Liquors on Metacom Avenue at 6:02 p.m., an 18-year-old was cited with underage possession of alcohol.

A King Philip Avenue resident complained about children riding bikes over their lawn.

An officer responded to Richmond Street again for a neighbor dispute over leaves at 7:33 p.m.

A 20-year-old was cited for underage possession of alcohol at Mt. Hope Liquors on Hope Street at 9:30 p.m.

A Sousa Street resident complained of loud noises at 11:14 p.m.

Saturday, April 6

A caller complained about a man who was yelling and banging things in the area Franklin and Magnolia streets at 1:35 a.m. They called back again at 2:42 a.m. and said the same man was back in the area banging on doors. An officer checked the area but did not find the man.

Officers called rescue to assist an intoxicated woman who was setting off a car alarm while looking for her keys in the Cottage Street area at 4:34 a.m.

A resident called police to assist with a skunk caught in a trap on Hilltop Street at 7:59 a.m.

A resident was advised to turn down music on Court Street at 5:34 p.m.

Sunday, April 7

A caller reported a man going through vehicles on Kennedy Court at 12:21 a.m.

After a caller reported an argument in a First Street driveway at 1:51 a.m., officers arrested Andrew V. Loras, 25, of 31 1/2 First St., Apt. 3, Bristol. He was held at the station overnight and charged with disorderly conduct, simple assault and resisting arrest.

Police dispatched rescue to evaluate a man sitting outside of the Cumberland Farms on Metacom Avenue at 2:22 a.m.

A caller complained about someone yelling on Wood Street at 4:45 a.m.

A St. Elizabeth Street resident was told to an extinguish an open burning at 1:02 p.m.
