Bristol Police: Loud people, loud parties, underage drinking and cyberstalking

Monday, Sept. 18

Zachary N. Weiss, 21, of Sharon, Mass., was arrested and charged with domestic cyberstalking and cyber-harassment.

Officers responded to Poppasquash Road, where a herd of sheep had wandered into the road. The sheep were directed back to the farm.

Nicholas Toste, 21, of 25 Franca Drive, Bristol, was charged with Online Impersonation (intimidation).

Joseph G. DeMelo, 26, of 3 Roosevelt Drive, Bristol, was charged with domestic assault and violation of a no-contact order after officers responded to Sherry Avenue at 6:43 p.m.

Someone reported a suspicious woman in the area of Brookfarm Drive at 7:28 p.m.

Tuesday, Sept. 19

A Beach Road resident reported a larceny.

An officer responded to the corner of Wood and Franklin streets and advised a resident they cannot leave furniture on the sidewalk.

A Michael Drive resident reported a coyote on his property at 6:27 p.m. He called back later to say his cat had returned safely.

An officer was called to Mt. Hope High School at 7:20 p.m. because of a situation between a parent and a 14-year-old daughter.

A resident on Magnolia Street called at 7:40 p.m. to complain about a raccoon trying to get into her garage.

Wednesday, Sept. 20

A woman reported seeing a “wolf” near the entrance of Colt State Park at 6:41 a.m. An officer responded but the animal was gone.

Someone called to report a man near the intersection of Hope and State streets who was yelling profanities at 4:24 p.m.

A caller from the Shell station on Metacom Avenue called police to report someone had tried using counterfeit money at 5:23 p.m.

Someone called to report three people walking up and down Richmond Street at 5:51 p.m. Apparently one of the women in the group kept falling down repeatedly. They were gone when officers arrived.

Thursday, Sept. 21

Officers arrested Robert A. Ivey, 47, of Warren, for disorderly conduct, urinating in public, at 12:48 a.m. at the corner of Thames and John streets.

A tree was reported fallen on a car on Wood Street at 8:51 a.m.

Another tree was reported fallen on a car at High and Burton streets at 2:37 p.m.

James Curtin, 19, of Wayne, N.J., was charged with underage possession of alcoholic beverages at 6:26 p.m. at Mt. Hope Liquors on Hope Street.

Officers responded to Mt. Hope Avenue after two women were reported to be yelling at each other outside the residence at 8:17 p.m. It was determined they were not fighting, just speaking loudly.

Someone reported suspicious activity at a High Street residence at 8:54 p.m. Three people were on the front porch, possibly trying to gain access. An officer determined they were not trying to break in; they were looking at the building prior to making an offer to purchase it.

Friday, Sept. 22

Officers responded to St. Elizabeth Street after a report of people arguing at 12:03 a.m.

David C. Jaycox, 34, of Fall River was charged with a District Court warrant after officers picked him up at 4:30 a.m. at the R.I. Veterans Home.

Someone reported a coyote on Gooding Avenue at 9:46 a.m.

Officers arrested four young adults after responding to a house party complaint at 11:56 p.m. on Basswood Road. Jared B. Faria, 18, of 39 Basswood Road was charged with furnishing alcoholic beverages for minors (ages 18-21). Owen H. Colbert, 18, of Plymouth, Mass., Everett J. Tillett, 19, of Wayland, Mass., and Gavin Spidle, 18, of Cape Elizabeth, Maine, were all charged with possession of alcoholic beverages.

Saturday, Sept. 23

Someone complained of loud people outside on Brookfarm Drive at 1:11 a.m.

Someone complained of loud people on State Street at 2:51 a.m. A responding officer said there was no problem, just people speaking loudly inside their apartment.

Officers were called to a verbal argument on Franklin Street at 9:24 a.m.

A resident complained of a house party on Thompson Avenue, with several individual in the back yard and loud music, at 12:36 p.m.

Several batteries were reported stolen from construction vehicles at ELJ on Metacom Avenue at 1:02 p.m.

Someone complained of a house party on Lincoln Avenue at 2:40 p.m.

Someone complained of a house party, including a large group of young adults walking with open container of alcohol, at 3:24 p.m. on Bradford Street.

Andrew McKeown, 18, of Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., was charged with underage possession of alcohol at 7:03 p.m. at Mt. Hope Liquors on Hope Street.

Officers were called to keep the peace in a dispute on Brookwood Road at 7:22 p.m.

Justin Michael McGowan, 36, of North Attleboro, Mass., was charged with disorderly conduct after officers responded to the corner of Hope and State streets at 10:33 p.m.

Sunday, Sept. 24

An officer was called to the Mt. Hope Bridge after someone reported two people walking across the bridge at 12:35 a.m. They were gone before police arrived.

Alisha Conklin, 34, of 5 Siegel St., Apt. 1, Bristol, was charged with domestic assault, domestic disorderly conduct and vandalism after officers were called to her residence at 2:10 a.m.

Officers were asked to remove an unwanted man from a Thames Street residence at 2:57 a.m.

Monday, Sept. 25

Officers were asked to help escort patrons from the Bristol Harbor Inn at 2:12 a.m.
