An overpowering start by Burrillville sent Tiverton football to defeat in Saturday evening’s game in Tiverton.

Burrillville scored 15 points in the first quarter and added 19 in the second quarter to build a 34-0 halftime lead.

Burrillville sinks Tiverton football

An overpowering start by Burrillville sent Tiverton football to defeat in Saturday evening’s game in Tiverton.

Burrillville scored 15 points in the first quarter and added 19 in the second quarter to build a 34-0 halftime lead.

After a scoreless third quarter, Tiverton’s offense finally got rolling in the fourth quarter.

Andrew Perez scored on a 65-yard run and Steven Gacioch ran in for 2 point conversion.

Brett Silvia then hauled in a 33-yard pass for a touchdown from Gacioch but the two-point conversion attempt failed. Burrillville also scored once in the final quarter.

For Burrillville. Zach Tayer ran for there touchdowns and Riley Tupper scored twice.

Tiverton, 0-1 in division, travels to 0-1 Central Falls this Friday at 6 p.m.
