Candidate opposes tolls, illegal immigrants

Posted

Today's Bristol Phoenix report written by Patrick Luce, about the forum this past Tuesday night, has misquoted me on two issues.

1. I am against all tolls, not in favor of tolling all, as they wrote. My opponent is the one who wrote a letter to the Providence Journal on Feb. 14, 2016 stating that all should be tolled, not just trucks.

2. I do not blame immigrants for draining money out of our budget. What I said was illegal immigrants are the ones who are costing us $278 million, and the state needs to stop being a sanctuary.

My statement on page 3 of this weeks Phoenix clearly states that I will advocate to end benefits to Illegals.

Also, my website clearly address these issues www.tonyavila.net.

It is important for all to know what exactly I said and not be misled by this error.

Thank you,
Tony Avila
