Catherine S. Gannon, 84, of Barrington

Catherine S. Gannon, 84, of Narrangansett Avenue, died peacefully at home on Saturday, June 10, 2017. She was the wife of the late John T. Gannon III.

Born in Boston, Mass., a daughter of the late Raymond Bresnahan and Alice E. (Ash) Tancreto, she lived in Barrington for 36 years.

Mrs. Gannon was a clerk for the Barrington Library for 18 years before retiring in 2000. She enjoyed spending time with her loving family.

She is survived by four daughters, Mary C. Barnes of Houston, Texas, Jacquelyn A. Lombardi of Pleasantville, NY, Margaret Gannon of Fall River, Mass. and Elizabeth and husband Alan Bardfield of Gales Ferry, Conn.; a son, John T. Gannon IV and his partner John Stepanski of Salem, Mass.; sisters Mary Kelly and Joanne Rizzo of Weymouth, Mass.; nine grandchildren, Michelle Cannistraro, Marisa Barnes, Rachel Barnes, John Lombardi III, Justin Lombardi, Jared Lombardi, Makayla Cunha, Erika (Jarek) Desrosiers, Stephen Bardfield; and three great-granddaughters Jaden Barnes, Skylynn Desrosiers, Lennon Desrosiers. She was the sister of the late Raymond Bresnahan.

Her funeral will be private. Burial will be held in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Contributions in Catherine’s memory to Alzheimer’s Association, 245 Waterman St. Suite 306 Providence, RI  02906 or RISPCA 186 Amaral St. Riverside, RI 02915. Arrangements are by the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, Riverside.
