Charges against man in Tiverton include assault, animal mistreatment
TIVERTON — Anthony Coelho, 39, of 1248 Stafford Road, Tiverton, was charged with ten offenses at 7:47 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 31.
The charges include two counts of violation of a no-contact order; four counts of domestic vandalism, malicious injury to property (allegedly involving a kitchen table, a litterbox, a truck windshield, and an iPhone); domestic, disorderly conduct; domestic, felony assault (girlfriend); and two counts of mistreatment of animals (including alleged kicking of an animal).
Tiverton Police Captain Patrick Jones said the charges were based on one outstanding warrant from 2013 and a recent occasion involving multiple offenses. Further details were not available at press time.
