Officials at the Barrington Department of Public Works said the Christmas tree collection program will begin Jan. 2, 2018 and continue for three weeks.

DPW officials are reminding residents that they should not place trees in plastic bags and they should remove all decorations, including tinsel, from the tree before placing it curbside.

Also, the DPW office on Upland Way will close at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 29, in recognition of the New Year's holiday. There will be regular refuse and recycling collection on Dec. 29.

The DPW office and recycling center will be closed New Year’s Day.  Monday’s refuse and recycling will be collected on Tuesday along with the regular Tuesday route.
