Cirillo: Clerk’s job is more complex than my opponent suggests

Posted

The Town Clerk has a great number of duties and responsibilities. Some of these are very visible, such as guiding the Town Council through its agenda at meetings. Other things are much less apparent and involve quiet research and study. All have equal importance in the overall complexity of the job, and must be carefully coordinated in order for the office to achieve success.

I believe that I have done this very well, and our Town Clerk’s Office is respected and admired by others because of it.

My opponent has been providing you with a very limited message, a message that focuses solely on a few goals that represent a very small percentage of what the Town Clerk’s office does. In observing this, I believe a citizen should ask, “what about the rest of it? What about the true meat and potatoes of what really matters now and into the future?”

Lou Cirillo

Mr. Cirillo is a Republican candidate for Bristol Town Clerk.
