Claire A. Chartier, 77, of Barrington, passed away on Monday, Oct. 8, 2018 at her home. She was the wife of Robert “Bob” Chartier.  

Born in Central Falls, she was a daughter of the late August and Elsie (Maynard) Richard. Mrs. Chartier was a bookkeeper for the Grinnell Bookkeeping Company before she retired. She was a member of the Barrington Women’s Club, the East Bay Chorus and the Bristol County Interfaith Choir. She was also a communicant of St. Luke’s Church and a member of the choir.  

Besides her husband she leaves two sons, Robert “Bob” Chartier, Jr. and Michael Chartier and his wife Lori, three grandchildren, Stephanie Joly, Brittany Costa and Daniel Kieffer and two great-grandchildren, Sierra Joly and Madison Field. She was the sister of the late Elaine Riendeau.  

Her funeral will be held on Friday, Oct. 12, at 8:15 a.m. from the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Ave., East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Luke’s Church, Washington Road, Barrington.
