Claire F. Cardin, 93, of Barrington

Claire F. (Walsh) Cardin, 93, of Rosedale Avenue, died peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017. She was the devoted wife of the late Paul J. Cardin Jr with whom she celebrated a 65th wedding anniversary.

Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late William F. and Elizabeth M. (McGowan) Walsh, she lived in Barrington for 65 years.

Mrs. Cardin was a communicant of St. Luke Church.

Claire was the loving mother to Paula E. Adams of Barrington, Patricia J. Greenan of Windham, Maine and Florida, William P. Cardin of Warwick, Maryanne Rainey of Smithfield, Paul J. Cardin III of Swansea, Mass., Robert J. Cardin of Cranston, and C. Sean Cardin of Barrington; two sisters, Roberta Selsor and Elizabeth Hill; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Helen Kerrins and William Walsh Jr.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday, Sept. 28, in the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, 350 Willett Ave., Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Luke Church, Washington Road, Barrington at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount St. Mary Cemetery, East Providence.

Calling hours are Wednesday, Sept. 27, from 4 to 7 p.m. Flowers are respectfully omitted.
