Harvest Fair brings a vast array of local talent to Bristol over the weekend. On Saturday, local musicians Julio Amaro and Country DnA will perform a unique mix of world and folk music. On Sunday morning, Ladies of the Rolling Pin will start the day with a vibrant, high energy morris dance performance. The award-winning duo, Aubrey Atwater and Elwood Donnelly, return with traditional American and Celtic folk songs and percussive dance on Sunday afternoon. Throughout the weekend, visitors can try their hand at a variety of 18th-century games and activities, including apple-on-a-rope, sack races, and French & English, better known as tug-of-war. Delightful comestibles will be provided by a variety of vendors, including CC’s Sweet Potatoes, Melville Grille, and Del’s Lemonade. This year, Coggeshall’s historic farmhouse will be busy with hearthcooking. Interpreters will be fixing up Coggeshall’s famous jonnycakes for visitors to sample in their authentic 18th century kitchen.
