It was announced Tuesday, July 19, that Coleman Realtors had joined the firm Mott & Chace Sotheby's International Realty.
Coleman Realtors had four offices — in Barrington, East Greenwich, East Side of Providence and Westerly — in Rhode Island, while Mott & Chace had four — in Watch Hill, Narragansett, Charlestown and Providence. Coleman's Westerly office will merge with Mott & Chace's Watch Hill office, and the two Providence offices will also be consolidated.
Dave Coleman said the name above the door will change, but people should expect the same great service they have come to expect from Coleman Realtors. Mr. Coleman will remain as the manager of the Barrington office.
"I'm staying right here," Mr. Coleman said.
The former owner of Coleman Realtors said he had been discussing the collaboration with the owners of Mott & Chace Sotheby's International Realty for more than a year. In fact, Mr. Coleman had been approached by a number of different real estate companies, but felt that Mott & Chace Sotheby's shared much of the same philosophies as Coleman Realty.
"And the Sotheby's brand means so much," he added.
“Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty is a highly respected company for service and excellence and Coleman Realtors, LLC, established in 1929, has built a strong reputation in Rhode Island over the past 87 years,” said Philip White, president and CEO of Sotheby’s International Realty Affiliates LLC. “This acquisition supports the collaborative culture of Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty and their commitment to exceptional service.”
Mr. Coleman said the public can expect the same great service they have come to know while working with Coleman Realtors. He said the merger will bring more resources to agents and clients alike.
"This enhances our abilities," he said.
News of the merger was shared with Coleman agents on Tuesday, July 19.
“Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty represents some of the finest properties in Rhode Island and we are proud to join a team that complements our commitment to integrity and professionalism,” said Mr. Coleman.
“Bringing our companies together positions us to continue to provide exceptional client service to our local communities,” said Judy Chace, in an announcement on the company's website.
“We have a combined 90 years of remarkable acumen in the arena of business that matters most: Decency, dignity, integrity, honesty and discipline,” added Ray Mott.
Ms. Chace and Mr. Mott, brokers and owners of Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty, started the company in 2013.
