Communty String Project - Charity Day at Newport Polo

Posted

The Community String Project is participating in the 3rd Annual Charity Day at Newport Polo on July 15th, from 5-7pm. CSP is selling tickets to this fun event to raise money to support all the programs they offer to students in the East Bay area and beyond. Tickets are $10 per person or $35 for a family of four. Each additional child is $5. Attendees are welcome to bring a picnic and drinks to enjoy while watching the action on the field. [Blankets and/or chairs are allowed, also.]

Newport Polo is home of the Westchester Polo Club. The Newport International Polo Series features teams from around the world and major US cities competing with USA/Newport.

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
