Barrington police responded to the Shaw's Supermarket in the Barrington Shopping Center on Thursday, April 27 at about 12:40 p.m., after a store employee saw a man and a woman steal an air conditioner from the store.
The employee told police she spotted the man take the boxed air conditioner out the in-door at the market and then make his way toward the East Bay Bike Path.
She described the man as being white with long, dirty hair. She said a woman wearing an orange shirt was with him.
Police scoured the area outside the market and traveled down the bike path, but could not locate the suspects. Officers are also planning to review video surveillance from the store.
