Donald E. Grinnell, 81, Tiverton

Donald E. Grinnell, 81, of Tiverton, passed away on Friday, January 25, 2019.  He was the husband of the late Patricia Ann (Virdinlia) Grinnell.  Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Edith (Goodwin) and Lawrence Grinnell.

He was a graduate of De Lasalle Academy and Bradford Durfee Technical School, now UMass.  Prior to his retirement, he had worked as a display manager for Sears & Roebuck. 

A clambake master, he loved animals especially his huskies, fishing, gardening along with his grandchildren and great grandchild. 

He is survived by a daughter, Donna L. Croft and her son Benjamin D. Croft (Kayla Walker) and their son Jaxson N. Croft.  He also leaves a son, Scott E. Grinnell (Susan) and their son Jeremy E. Grinnell. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Pocasset Memorial Funeral lHome 462 Main Road, Tiverton.  His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the funeral home with a 10 a.m. Mass at St. Christopher's Church where he was a communicant.  Burial at Hillside Cemetery, Tiverton.  www.almeida-pocasset.com for on line guest book.
