Doris E. Jones, of Atria Bay Spring Village died peacefully on Friday, Aug. 3, 2018 surrounded by loved ones.

Born in Warren, a daughter of the late Norman and Ellen Sellen Jones, she moved to Barrington 30 years ago after living and working on Long Island in New York.

Miss Jones retired in 1988 after 35 years of service to NYU Winthrop Hospital in Mineola, New York. In her capacity as vice-president-administration, she managed essential departments such as communications, housing and real estate, dietary, maintenance, and security. In addition, she functioned as a patient advocate and a liaison between the hospital and its auxiliary.

Doris was a member of the Barrington Congregational Church. Her friends and loved ones will miss her smiling face, her quiet sense of humor, her loyal concern for their well-being, and her willingness to help in any way she could.

She is survived by many loving, dear friends and family including Eleanor Beaver.

Her memorial service and burial will be private. Contributions in Doris’s memory to Barrington Christian Academy would be deeply appreciated. Arrangements are by the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, Riverside. For online condolences please visit wrwatsonfuneralhome.com
