Barrington boys defeat Tiverton, 71-35

The Barrington High School boys basketball team overpowered Tiverton, 71-35, on the opening day of the East Bay holiday tournament on Wednesday, Dec. 27.

Barrington raced out to a 20-7 lead after the first quarter and a 38-12 lead at halftime. Matt Raffa scored all of his game high 17 points in the first half, including five made three-pointers.   

Nick Scandura scored inside and outside and finished with 16 points, while Caleb Satisfield (11) and Ryan Rigamonti (10) also finished in double figures. 

On Thursday, the 6-0 Eagles were scheduled to travel to Portsmouth to take on Middletown in a rematch of last year’s Elite 8 match-up.
