The Barrington High School field hockey team is 1-0-1 after its first two games of the season — the Eagles defeated LaSalle 4-1 in its opener and then tied North Kingstown 1-1.

Playing in its home opener on Tuesday, the Eagles' Madelyn Cox scored four straight goals to help her team build a commanding first-half lead against LaSalle. Elizabeth Lewis had two assists, while Maeve Harrington and Mila Diaz each had single assists. Caleigh Durkin made seven saves for Barrington.

Barrington and North Kingstown played through a scoreless first half in their game on Thursday afternoon. In the second half of the game, Barrington's Cox scored while Perry LaBelle notched the assist. Dempsey Campbell scored an unassisted goal for North Kingstown.

Durkin finished with 10 saves for Barrington. The Eagles play at East Greenwich on Tuesday.
