The Barrington High School golf team finished behind first place Hendricken and second place Moses Brown at the recent Rhode Island Interscholastic League golf state championship.
Barrington had a first day total of 320 and finished the tournament at 643. Hendricken fired a 599 and Moses Brown was eight strokes back at 607. The tournament was played in Cranston.
Coale Kazounis fired a 78 on the first day of the tournament and had a 76 on the second day, and finished tied for ninth place overall with a total of 154. Brandon Fay also played well for Barrington — he had a 79 on the first day and an 80 on the second day for a total of 159.
Other Barrington finishers included Robert Vanier, with a 162, Tommy Murray with a 164, and Michael Grieve with a 167.
The top individual score went to Moses Brown's Will Dickson, who fired a two-day total of 142.
