Barrington scores 12 first-half goals, wins 17-7

Hope Robertson scored six goals, Tess Gagliano had four goals, and Clare Gaffney added three more, powering the Barrington High School girls lacrosse team to a 17-7 win over North Kingstown on Friday, May 11.

Barrington opened up a commanding 12-3 lead in the first half and added another five goals in the second half.

Gaffney also had three assists in the victory, while Megan Mahoney and Annie Berkery each had a goal and two assists, and Ally Vetromile finished with two goals and one assist. Caleigh Durkin made nine saves in net for the Eagles.

On Monday, May 14, Barrington scored 12 second-half goals and rolled to an 18-11 victory over LaSalle Academy. Gaffney had six assists and two goals, Robertson scored six goals and had one assist, and Berkery scored four goals and had two assists. Gagliano and Vetromile each scored three goals.

The two victories followed a 21-15 loss to Moses Brown on Tuesday, May 8. Gaffney scored five goals and had three assists in the loss, and Durkin made 24 saves. Barrington's record is 8-3.
