The Barrington High School football team grabbed its second win of the season, defeating Tolman 12-7 last Friday night.

The Eagles trailed 7-0 at halftime, but cut into the lead when quarterback Liam McManus hit Dante Augustine for a touchdown midway through the third quarter. Barrington failed to convert the extra point attempt and trailed 7-6.

The score stayed that way until late in the fourth quarter when Sam Read ran the ball into the end zone for Barrington's second score. The two-point conversion attempt failed, but Barrington held a 12-7 lead.

The Eagles played strong defense for the remainder of the game, led by Nate Singer, Jon Adamson, Zack Newberg and Colby Watson.

Barrington will host Cranston East on Friday night in front of the Eagles' homecoming crowd. The game kicks off at 7 p.m. at Victory Field.
