On Sunday night, the Rhode Island Interscholastic League released its brackets for the State Championship Tournament.
Barrington was selected as the number 13 seed and will play against fourth-seeded Narragansett in the opening round. The Eagles and Mariners will tip off on Thursday, March 7, at 5:30 p.m. at North Kingstown High School.
Barrington finished the regular season with a 12-6 record in Division II, and defeated Tiverton in a playoff game before being eliminated from the Division II tournament by Wheeler School.
Narragansett was the top team in Division II in the regular season and reached the finals of the D-II tournament before losing 57-54 to East Greenwich.
Barrington and Narragansett squared off in a regular season game in December — the Eagles defeated the Mariners, 71-66.
