EAST PROVIDENCE — The East Providence Police Department has identified and remains in search of two suspects in an armed robbery of the Riverside Gas station located at 3339 Pawtucket Ave. in the Riverside section of the city Tuesday night, Dec. 11.

An arrest warrant on a charge of First Degree Robbery has been issued for Timothy Jordan, 25, of 39 Bullocks Point Ave. The other suspect is a juvenile. EPPD Detective Lieutenant Raymond Blinn said the weapon thought to have been used was a small, dark pistol of a caliber yet to be determined.

The EPPD Detective Division has been “aggressively investigating this crime,” according to a statement issued late Wednesday evening, Dec. 12, by Lt. Blinn. The effort, with assistance from other units within the EPPD, has resulted in the identification of the two suspects.

Earlier Wednesday, investigators executed a search warrant for an apartment in a complex located at 39 Bullocks Point Ave. During the search, Lt. Blinn said, “multiple items of evidentiary value were located at that residence.” No one was at the residence at the time the warrant was executed.

The EPPD consider Mr. Jordan to be in the company of the juvenile suspect and that the two may be driving a silver 2010 Mercedes SUV with a Rhode Island license plate number of XJ-706

The suspects should be considered "armed and dangerous," Lt. Blinn continued.

Mr. Jordan is known to East Providence Police, but for only what could be the deemed petty crimes of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, Lt. Blinn added.
