Eighth grade appreciates groups’ support
To the editor:
As we get ready for another school year, some words of thanks from the Wilbur McMahon Class of 2018 are in order to several local organizations.
First, a huge thank you to the Little Compton Republican Town Committee for sponsoring this year’s 8th grade during the August 5 rededication of the town’s athletic fields. Because of the LC Republican Town Committee’s support, the class raised $570, which will help fund the annual 8th grade class trip to Washington D.C. in May of 2018.
Additional thanks to the Little Compton Little League for allowing the class to use their concession stand during the event.
We’re looking forward to another great year of 8th grade events and activities at Wilbur McMahon School!
