Elinor C. Lannigan, 91, of Bristol

Elinor C. (Booty) Lannigan, 91, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2019. She was the wife of William F. Lannigan, her husband of 65 years.

Booty was predeceased by her parents the late Joseph H. and Muriel E. Cushman. She was also the sister of the late Joseph Cushman and the mother of the late Linda Castigliego.

In addition to her husband, Booty leaves behind her children, Sean Lannigan of Bristol and Jill Ott (her husband Paul Ott), also of Bristol. Booty will also be survived by her six grandchildren, Paul Castigliego, Kim Butera, Shannon Ott, Alexis Lannigan, Patrick Ott, and Nicholas Lannigan. Booty will be missed by her four great-grandchildren: Stella Butera, Luke Butera, Chloe Castigliego, and Camille Castigliego.

Booty worked as a teacher’s aid in the Bristol Public Schools for many years. She also was an active member of the Hopeworth Bocce League.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend a life celebration on Tuesday, April 2, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood St., Bristol. Burial will follow at North Burial Ground, Hope Street, Bristol.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurse Home & Hospice, 1184 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871.
