Elizabeth I. Hazlett, 97, Bristol

Elizabeth I. (Jones) Hazlett, 97, of Bristol, died Friday June 23, 2017 at the R.I. Veterans Home. She was the wife of the late Robert S. Hazlett.

She was born in Greene, NY, a daughter of the late Robert W. and Ruth E. ( Langdon) Jones. She was a U.S. Army Veteran.

Mrs. Hazlett was an Office Secretary for the Richardson Insurance Company for many years. She lived in Bristol since 1974, coming from New York. She was a member of St. Michael’s Church, Bristol.

Mrs. Hazlett is survived by her daughter, Ruth A. Prindle of Riverside; her sons, David J. Eastwood of Shula Vista, Calif., and Robert E. Eastwood of Lompoc, Calif.; and a sister, Mary R. Brandow of Greene, NY. She was the grandmother of Michael Prindle and Heatherly Covington, and also the great grandmother of two. She was the sister of the late Kermit Jones, Robert L. Jones, Mildred L. Stickney, Cynthia M. Harrington, Esther M. Bottle and Elinor Jones.

Her funeral service will be held Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 11 a.m., in the Chapel of the Rhode Island Veterans Home, 480 Metacom  Ave., Bristol. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial is private.
