Crews were busy clearing and stockpiling loam from the middle school construction site late last week and early this week.
Bulldozers pushed the topsoil into large piles and workers began building entrances to the construction site as work on the new Barrington Middle School rolled into its third week.
According to a construction update from school officials, workers were expected install sediment erosion control around the perimeter of the site; establish entrances to the site; remove and stockpile loam; install detention basins; and begin excavating for building footprints.
Traffic patterns are expected to remain unchanged, and noise levels will be "minimal." Construction officials are asking that motorists and pedestrians avoid blocking the construction gates located on Middle Highway and Lincoln Avenue.
