The annual State Fiscal Budget is the number one priority for the State of Rhode Island. It must be balanced, provide additional educational aid, reduce property taxes, help working families, support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and promote economic development through job creation. I have supported the continuation of the local “Car Tax Phase Out” program and was the main sponsor of the ‘RI Livable Home Modification Grant” program for our Senior Citizens to remain in their homes. The fiscal budget contains $11 million to continue our job training program, Real Jobs and Real Pathways.
My second priority is addressing constituent concerns in Warren, Bristol and Tiverton. I have responded to numerous issues in a professional and timely matter by working with federal, state and local officials. Door to door campaigning has offered me an opportunity to engage my constituents and listen to their views.
